It's a half-mile ride to the park, through a small industrial area.
This is where I work! Not really. :)
In the nearby Addison Circle there are some small parks. This is one of them, called Bosque Park. That means Wooded Park in Spanish.
It has a lot of trees.
And a nice fountain.
And radioactive squirrels.
The apartments in this area look very nice. Unfortunately they are quite expensive. It is cheaper to live a half-mile away. :)
This is the roundabout. Yes, it's an actual roundabout, one of only two in the entire metroplex area of Dallas.
Next to the roundabout there is another nice little park.
It has pretty flowers.
And a neat little water gardens.
And some nice running trails. They work just as well for bike riding.
There are other points of interest in the area. Here are some that I saw.
How did they come up with the name for this theater?
This is the wimpiest fountain ever. Ironically, it's located at the
WaterTower Theater. I guess they just can't get any water pressure.
Why is there a stone cabin in the middle of a city?
I see dead people here!!
There is yet another park on the other side of the roundabout. Is this a great part of town, or what?
Finally, between where I live and this section of Addison, there is another side park next to some other apartments. This is a really nice place.
It has a fountain. I like fountains. Can you tell?
There is a really big fountain hidden inside a large copse of trees. It
is very secluded, and the sound of rushing water is very relaxing. A good
place to sit and think.
You can actually walk into the fountain and sit down. And get your
tail all wet. :)
Dangerous crane shot. At great expense.
Forced perspective. Very artsy.
When I got home, I found out the cat was dead!!
Oh, she's not dead. She's just malfunctioning.
She'll be fine.
By the way, this cute cat is actually my roommate's cat. I am still taking care of her while he moves into his new place.
If you want to see my cat, it's this fat, lazy slob:
Here he is, hidden among the raccoons.
